European Kudo Championship & Burgas Open European Kudo Junior Cup 2025

European Kudo Championship 2025: Individual competition divisions — Men, Women, U-18, Seniors (45–55).

1. Participation

a. As a general rule, each country or region may enter 1 team, and 2 competitor per category and The host country is allowed up to 4 competitors per category.

b. IMPORTANT: To participate in the championships,

①The National Federation must be officially recognized by KIF

② Students must be registered to the KMS system.

c. Each branch chief must make sure that all the branch duties (ex. Registration of stude payments of branch affiliation or renewal fees, Dan/Kyu grading fees) have been carried out without fail for their applicants participation to any of these championships. Otherwise, organizing committee shall not accept their application

d. Competitors must present a Health Certificate issued by a qualified doctor within 30 days before the competitions. The certificate must clearly state that the competitor is in good health and able to compete. A Life Insurance Certificate issued by an insurance company in their own country orregion must also be presented at the registration in Bulgaria.

2. Competition Methods

a. The competitions will be held in Individual division of Men (6 categories), Women (2), U-18 Men (7) and Women (2), and senior category (45-55) divisions..

b. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the "Rules for KUDO International Competition" endorsed in 2021. In the event of disagreement, the interpretation of the Rule the Japanese Textshall prevail.

c. The power of interpretation of the Rulesrestssolely with KIFHQ.

3. Equipment (Protective gears)

【Adult, U18】

Kudo official equipment must be worn. Each competitor must have a blue and a white Gi, for those who cannot provide them, a decision will be made on-site by the tournament’s chief referee. However, please note the following: Male groin protectors, female under guards, and mouthpieces can be of any brand.

Burgas Open European Kudo Junior Cup: Individual competition divisions — U10, U12, U14, U16

1. Participation

a. As a general rule, each country or region may enter 1 national team and individual club teams, and one or more competitors per category.

b. IMPORTANT: To participate in the championships,

· The Cup is held under the rules of KIF, and both national and club teams from different countries can participate according to Kudo rules and using official Kudo equipment. For club participation from different countries, please coordinate with the respective branches representing Kudo in each country. Club representatives may participate independently of the national teams of their respective branches, but in coordination with them.

· Competitors must present a Health Certificate issued by a qualified doctor within 30 days before the competitions. The certificate must clearly state that the competitor is in good health and able to compete. A Life Insurance Certificate issued by an insurance company in their own country orregion must also be presented at the registration in Bulgaria.

Kudo official equipment must be worn. However, please note the following: Male groin protectors, female under guards, and mouthpieces can be of any brand. Regarding the Gi, it does not have to be certified by KIF, but it must bear the Kudo insignia. Wearing the blue Kudo Gi is not mandatory. However, the following are not permitted: Wearing a pullover-type Gi; wearing a blue Gi when a white Gi is required.”

Schedule:

2 October 2025 (Thu) - Arrival and accommodation of the participants.

3 October 2025 (Fri) - Weigh-in of the competitors.

4 October 2025 (Sat) - Opening of the championship, preliminary matches, semi-finals and finals, closing of the championship. (Sayonara party)

5 October 2025 (Sun) – Dan test

6 October 2025 (Mon) - Departure of the participants.
