The World Cup Varna 2025

for juniors and cadets from 14 to 21 years old, will be held on July 8, 2025. This world-class championship traditionally brings together young Kyokushin karate hopefuls worldwide.

Deadline for Kumite Technology's registration of fighters: June 15th, 2025

Tournament Information:

Date of the event: 08.07.2025 

Place: Kamchia, Varna (Bulgaria) XIX International Summer Martial Arts Camp

Weight categories:

Boys (14-15 years old) 50, 60, 70, 70+ | Girls (14-15 years old) 45, 55, 60, 60+

Boys (16-17 years old) 55, 65, 75, 75+ | Girls (16-17 years old) 55, 65, 65+

Men (18-21 years old): 75, 85, 85+ | Women (18-21 years old): 60, 60+

Awarding of champions and prizewinners:

Champions and prize-winners (1st-3rd places) in the age category 14-15 years and 16-17 years are awarded medals and diplomas as well as cups of corresponding grade.

Champions and prize-winners (1st-4th places) in the age category 18-21 years are awarded medals, diplomas, cups of corresponding grade, and cash prizes:

Men

  • 1st place – 5 000 euro
  • 2nd place – 3 500 euro
  • 3rd place – 2 000 euro
  • 4th place – 1 000 euro

Women

  • 1st place – 3 500 euro
  • 2nd place – 2 500 euro
  • 3rd place – 1 500 euro
  • 4th place – 1 000 euro

The organizers cover the costs:

Participants of the WORLD CUP VARNA, 1 coach per organization, 1 national representative per organization – accommodation, food, transfer (06.07.2025 airport Varna – Kamchia, 13.07.2025 Kamchia – airport Varna)

General rules:

The competitions will be held by the KWUnion regulations, which are posted on the official website: www.kwunion.com

Judges:

The national representatives who will participate in the XVIII International Summer Camp will be included in the judging brigades of the competitions. Attendance at referee seminars is mandatory. The uniform of the judges of the competition: dogi and belt.

Chief referee of the tournament – Shihan Francisco Filho, 7th dan

Co-chief referee of the tournament – Sensei Ivan Ivanov, 4th dan

Anti-doping control

Winners from 1st to 3rd place will undergo a doping test following the rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

  • Official team coach from the organization.
  • One National Representative from the organization.
  • A fighter from the organization.
