Dear Country Representatives, Branch-Chiefs, Coaches, Athletes and Officials

On behalf of WKB Switzerland, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 10th WKB

European Championship Kyokushinkai-Karate, which will be held on May 8, 2027, in

Sarnen, Switzerland.

The Championship is organized under the auspices of World Kyokushin Budokai (WKB)

and will include competitions in Kata and Kumite, following the official WKB rules and

regulations. Kyokushinkai Karate rules apply in all categories (all kicks allowed).

The event is open to athletes of all European countries and full-contact karate

organizations and will feature the following categories:

• Kata: Juniors and Youth (from age 12)
• Adults (18 and older)
• Kumite: Juniors and Youth (from age 12)
• Adults (18 to 39 years)
• Veterans (40 years and older)

Officials, referees and judges are also welcome to register through the official

tournament platform (Kumite Technology).

All event information, including competition categories, registration details, tournament

rules, schedule and venue information, will be available on the official tournament

platform (Kumite Technology).

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Switzerland for a high-level European

Championship and a strong Kyokushin-Spirit.
